Tourist arrivals in BiH up 124.1 pct in May
Almost 140,000 tourists visited Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in May, up 124.1 percent year-on-year, according to data from the country's Agency for Statistics.
Meanwhile, the number of tourist nights approached 290,000 in May, up 115.8 percent year-on-year, of which domestic tourist nights accounted for 40.6 percent and foreign tourist nights 59.4 percent, said a document published Monday by the agency.
The number of domestic tourist nights and foreign tourist nights increased by 54.9 percent and 195.1 percent year-on-year respectively, said the document.
Most of the foreign tourist nights in May were realized by tourists from Serbia, Croatia, Turkey, Slovenia, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Saudi Arabia, the United States, France and Austria, it added.
