Consummation of the 9th China Qin Opera Art Festival

Sponsored by China Theatre Association, Shaanxi Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Xi'an Municipal People's Government, undertaken by Shaanxi Theatre Association, Xi'an Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, and Xi'an Qujiang New District Management Committee, and co-organized by Theatre Association of five northwestern provinces, the 9th China Qin Opera Art Festival came to a consummate ending in Xi'an on the evening of June 24.

At this Qin Opera Art Festival, 33 troupes from five northwestern provinces and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps performed in the ancient city of Xi'an and its surrounding cities with 73 outstanding Qin opera plays. Combining online and offline displays, they presented to the audience in Xi'an and a large group in China the charm of Qin culture. Upon the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Festival vigorously promoted traditional cultures and the fruitful achievements of the inheritance and development of Qin Opera and created a warm and inclusive cultural atmosphere.

Themed "Banquet of Qin Opera and People's Festival", this Festival displayed a series of distinctive and substantial performances, with a focus on realistic, revolutionary, and traditional subjects. There are excellent modern plays about the "One Hundred Anniversary of the Founding of the Party" and the great creation of New China. There are also plays about the great practice of socialist modernization, poverty alleviation, and the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

Upon the consummation of the 9th China Qin Opera Art Festival, the Qin Opera practitioners will continue to strive hard and forge ahead. China's Qin Opera practitioners will inherit the traditional culture to present the beauty of art, tell the story of China in a unique way, and better serve the public. They will always stand by the Party and the people, advocate work ethics, and forge a way forward to create new opportunities for Chinese opera, spread the splendid Chinese culture, and contribute to the cultural power of China.
