Israel's imports from China reach all-time monthly record
Israeli imports of goods from China, excluding diamonds, reached 1.51 billion U.S. dollars in January, said a report released by the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics on Sunday.
This is Israel's highest monthly total import ever from China, breaking the previous record of 1.35 billion dollars registered in August 2021.
It is also an increase of 48 percent compared to 1.02 billion dollars recorded in January 2021 and of 21.8 percent compared to 1.24 billion reported in December 2021.
The report added that Israeli exports to China totalled 474.7 million dollars, a decrease of 24 percent year-on-year, and almost unchanged from December 2021.
Total Israeli imports reached 8.62 billion dollars in January, while exports amounted to 5.22 billion dollars, according to the report.
