Swiss defending champion Hoefflin misses women's slopestyle final spot
at Beijing 2022

Sarah Hoefflin from Switzerland, the women's slopestyle Olympic champion at PyeongChang 2018, was eliminated from the event's qualification at Beijing 2022 here on Monday morning.

Hoefflin, 31, got only 35.38 and 48.96 points in her first and second run respectively, failing to enter the top 12 of the 27 competitors, while the qualification was still going on.

The qualification, originally scheduled for Sunday morning, was postponed to Monday because of heavy snow. Monday is a sunny day.

Hoefflin also attended the women's free ski big air competition in Shougang, Beijing, and finished sixth with 158.75 points.
