Singapore's NODX grows for 10 consecutive months
Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) grew for the 10th consecutive month in September, and the year-on-year growth expanded from 2.7 percent in August to 12.3 percent, Enterprise Singapore, a government agency, announced on Monday.
The electronic NODX expanded by 14.4 percent year on year in September, extending the 16.7-percent increase in the previous month. Meanwhile, the non-electronic NODX grew by 11.7 percent in September, a reversal from the 1.4 percent decline in August.
On a month-on-month seasonally adjusted basis, Singapore's NODX increased by 1.2 percent in September to 15.7 billion Singapore dollars (about 11.64 billion US dollars), after the previous month's 3.5-percent decrease.
Singapore's non-oil re-exports (NORX) grew by 16.4 percent year on year in September, following the 19-percent rise in August. Both electronic and non-electronic NORX grew.
