Angola's 1 de Agosto crowned at men's national Karate-Do championship

Angola's 1 de Agosto revalidated the title of men's national Karate-Do championship in the city of Cuito, southern Bie province on Sunday.

Petro de Luanda placed second while Desportivo da Banca was third.

In the women's edition, Petro de Luanda was the champion, followed by Mixed Bie-B and Andiosport de Luanda.

The 29th edition of the championship took place Saturday and Sunday. Five out of the country's 18 provinces took part in the event namely, Bie, Luanda, Huambo, Huila and Cuando Cubango.

On the occasion, the president of the Angolan Karate-Do Federation, Felix Ferreira, underlined that the competition in Bie represents the institution's policy of expanding the sport in the interior of the country.

The last national championship of Karate-Do was held in Malanje province in 2019.
