at One Time" Service for Foreigners to Work in China

Recently, the reporter learned from the Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone (XDZ) Administrative Examination and Approval Service Bureau that starting from October 9, 2020, foreign citizens can enjoy the "Completing One Thing at One Time" service when they apply for Notification Letter of Foreigner‘s Work Permit, Foreign Expert Work Permit, Foreigner Residence Permit, etc. in XDZ.

It is said that in order to provide greater convenience for foreigners to work and live in China, XDZ Administrative Examination and Approval Service Bureau, in conjunction with High-Tech Development Zone Branch of Xi'an Public Security Bureau, launched the "Completing One Thing at One Time" streamlined service for foreigners to work in China via "information sharing, department linkage and business integration". This initiative can effectively solve the problem that foreigners had to attend multiple government departments, endure long processing time and submit repeated materials.

According to relevant regulations, foreigners applying for the "Completing One Thing at One Time" service to work in China should be at least 18 years old, healthy, have no criminal record, have a definite employer in China, and have the necessary professional skills or corresponding knowledge level for their work. The work of the applicant shall meet the needs of China's economic and social developments and such applicant shall fit the category of urgently needed professionals in China. These requirements apply unless otherwise specified by the law.

According to the staff of the bureau, foreign citizens need to submit their materials both online (Service System for Foreigners Working in China) and offline (XDZ Administrative Examination and Approval Service Bureau) upon application. Staff will complete the request within 14 working days upon receipt of the materials. (Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone)
