2019 China International General Aviation Congress Opened
in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province

At 10:00 a.m. on October 17, the 2019 China International General Aviation Congress (Xi'an Air Show) officially opened at Xi'an Qujiang International Convention and Exhibition Center. It is the largest professional and international exhibition with the highest specifications of the Chinese General Aviation Industry approved by the State Council.

Zhao Gang, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province, officially announced the opening of the exhibition. Zhang Lihong, Deputy Commander of the Shaanxi Military Region, was present at the opening ceremony. Xi'an Mayor Li Mingyuan, Chief Engineer of the Civil Aviation Administration of China Yin Shijun, Deputy Director of the Office of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Dang Hong and Chief Engineer of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China Lu Guangshan delivered speeches. Guo Zhiwu, Director of the Rescue Coordination and Preparedness Management Bureau of the State Emergency Management Department; Lan Jianwen, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shaanxi Provincial Government; and Gao Jie, Deputy Mayor of Weinan Municipality participated in the conference. Xi'an Vice Mayor Ma Xianping presided over the conference.

"As a strategic emerging industry, the general aviation industry reflects the development level of aircraft manufacturing and aviation industry in a country or region and comprehensively shows its technological innovation capability." Li Mingyuan said. Over the past 10 years, Xi'an has witnessed the rapid development of the general aviation industry by making dialogues and exchanges, sharing information, and carrying out sincere cooperation for development with all parties concerned through this platform. By further cohering the strength of the whole industry, it demonstrates the latest achievements of the industry, helps scientifically grasp the industry development trend and concentrates on solving practical problems, therefore deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and realizing mutual benefit and win-win results.

"As one of the regions where most China aviation resources gather, Xi'an has a relatively strong pool of aviation research institutes, professionals, and production forces, especially excels in the competitiveness of the general aviation industry in China." Li Mingyuan said. He said that Xi'an is capable of being an important base for the development of the international general aviation industry with its advantages and willingness to make more contributions to the development of the international general aviation industry.

Li Mingyuan said, "By making fully use of its advantages in culture, location, industry, science, education, and policy opportunities under the active implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, Xi'an will vigorously develop the general aviation industry, make efforts to promote its transformation and upgrading, and speed up the construction of a high-quality and competitive aviation industry eco-system.

Xi'an Air Show is jointly sponsored by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Aviation Industry Corporation of China. With the theme of "promoting general aviation development and accelerating aviation industry clustering", the show aims to promote the exchange and cooperation between domestic and international general aviation industry, accelerate aviation industry clustering, enhance the development level of aviation industry to promote the transformation and upgrading of aviation industry and high-quality development. Five sessions of the exhibition have been successfully held, attracting millions of viewers. The previous sessions made great contributions for demonstrating the latest development achievements of China's general aviation industry and building platforms for industrial cooperation and exchange at home and abroad. With the "trade cooperation, exhibition display, technical exchange, policy discussion, public science experience" five-sphere integrated functional plate, they became an important platform and window for propagating the policies of general aviation development, displaying regional image, strengthening investment, promoting enterprise exchanges.

2019 Xi'an Air Show will be held for five days at Xi'an Qujiang International Convention and Exhibition Center and Pucheng Neifu Airport of Weinan City at the same time. During the exhibition period, splendid activities such as flight performance, aircraft static exhibition, aviation equipment exhibition, general aviation summit forum and professional forum, and release meeting of outstanding scientific achievements will be presented, which will bring a grand aviation banquet to the general public and aviation enthusiasts. The Xi'an pavilion covers a total area of about 20,000 square meters, and its exhibits cover a wide range of fields such as aircraft, engines, electronic communications, new materials and aviation components. It provides customers with a high-quality and open platform for exhibitions and transactions, shows the latest achievements in the development of aviation equipment, and highlights the vigorous development vitality of the general aviation industry. During the flight performance at Pucheng Neifu Airport of Weinan City, 43 aircrafts of various types will perform flight demonstrations in four chapters "Sports Hero, Dance in the Blue Sky, Heavy Instruments of the Country, Encyclopedia of Application", accompanied by splendid flight explanations and a high-sounding hymn to the blue sky.

As a general aviation brand exhibition approved by the State Council, Xi'an Air Show will give full play to its role in gathering, stimulating and leading the general aviation industry to create a grand aviation industry gathering with the participation of local government departments, industry management departments, general aviation enterprises at home and abroad, investment and financing institutions, experts and scholars in the aviation field, and aviation enthusiasts.
