Senior lawmakers hear preparations for annual legislative session

The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) held a chairpersons' meeting Tuesday afternoon to hear preparations for the upcoming annual NPC session.

Li Zhanshu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over the meeting.

Yang Zhenwu, secretary-general of the NPC Standing Committee, briefed the meeting on the documents, including the drafts on the agenda and the presidium and secretary-general name lists of the second annual session of the 13th NPC.

The annual NPC session is scheduled to open March 5.
