China Vocational Education Association elects new leadership
China Vocational Education Association (CVEA) elected a new leadership during its 12th national congress, which concluded in Beijing on Friday.
Hao Mingjin, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, was elected chairman of the CVEA.
Gu Shengzu, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice chairman of the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, and seven others were elected CVEA vice chairmen.
During the congress, delegates passed the work report of the CVEA's 11th board of directors and approved an amendment to its constitution.
The CVEA, founded in 1917, is a pioneer of China's modern vocational education and a major force in providing social services.
