“Huyi Story” on the Way to Poverty Eradication

From the low and leaky undecorated room to the uniform modern community, from the uncertain income for not daring to being hospital to the monthly stable medical reimbursement, from the lag of "Let You Help Make You Rich" to the positive behavior of "I Want to Help Myself Get Rich", thus since the third season of 2017, Huyi District has adhered to systematic thinking, used the poverty alleviation strategy to take the overall situation, and adopted the unconventional measures to advance the work of poverty eradication. In the evaluation of October 2017, it achieved the second place in Shaanxi province and Champion in Xi'an, creating a "Huyi story" from backwardness to advance.

In 2018, in accordance with the "Five Beautiful" requirements of Wang Yongkang, secretary of Xi'an Municipal Party Committee, taking poverty alleviation as the key point, working together, and changing "Blood Transfusion" to "Hematopoietic Blood", nineteen special poverty alleviation working groups have been established, including those on industrial poverty alleviation, ecological poverty alleviation, e-business poverty alleviation, education poverty alleviation, and healthy poverty alleviation, which promotes the transition from blood transfusion to hematopoietic poverty alleviation.

According to statistics, in 2018, 5,482 financial poverty alleviation loans were made in Huyi District, with a capital of RMB 101.082 million, of which 630 were small loans and a capital of RMB 20.462 million. It took four months to build 12 resettlement houses and settled 220 relocated people. With a total Huyi District’s investment of more than RMB 400 million, it has completed the construction of the village's appearance and construction, and launched the construction of the "Love Supermarket" in an all-round way, as well as the 11 poor villages’ love supermarkets have achieved full coverage. At the same time, a free medical examination card of RMB 100,0000 and a condolence grant of RMB 65,0000 were issued to all poor women and nearly 300 left-behind children in the region. Up to December in 2018, 1,627 of the 2,324 poor households registered in the Huyi District have withdrawn from the poverty sequence.

"The remaining 697 households, which are those with no labor force and no income, will be helped in the form of social support in the future.
