9 killed, 3 injured in car-truck collision in Xi'an

Nine people were killed and three injured as two vehicles collided Tuesday night in Xi'an, the capital city of northwestern China's Shaanxi Province, according to the local police.

A head-on collision occurred between a cement mixer truck and a minibus on Fangwei Road in Baqiao district at around 8:41 p.m. Tuesday, the police said.

The injured have already been hospitalized and the detailed cause of the accident is under investigation.
