Li Jianyi: Third Silk Road International Exposition to be more international and professional

The Third Silk Road International Exposition will be held in Xi'an, Shaanxi from May 11 to May 15, 2018.

The exposition of this year will reach a new stage in terms of the theme of the forum, the pattern of the hall, international communication, and the focus of the visitors, etc, striving to achieve a higher level of internationalization, marketization, branding and professionalization, said by Li Jianyi, Deputy Director and Secretary-general of the Executive Committee of the Third Silk Road International Exposition, Secretary of Party Committee and Director of the Convention and Exhibition Center of Shaanxi Province.

The theme of the exposition, namely "New Era, New Pattern and New Development", could be understood from three different aspects, including time and space, strategy, as well as specific tactics, Li Jianyi added.

The exposition of this year will begin just on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up, the fifth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, the ending of the two sessions (NPC and CPPCC) and the third year after General Secretary Xi Jinping's instruction of "successfully holding the Silk Road International Exposition". It is of great significance to host such a grand event under such background.

According to what Li Jianyi said, the hall for this exposition is divided into "rows" rather than "blocks", namely according to the market demand and product category instead of by city, province and country for professional display.

The industry pavilions set up based on the "rows" are highlights of the exposition. The aerospace industry is the most promising industry of Shaanxi Province. Therefore, the exposition of this year will focus on setting up four industry pavilions to showcase the latest achievements in the field; At the same time, the cutting-edge technology regarding the professional fields of “Made in China 2025”, new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection, biotechnology, etc. will also be available for the visitors.

In terms of international communication, Li Jianyi mentioned that the organization committee has already done two things. First, both the government officials and representatives from other walks of life have been invited from the guest country of honor. Second, the media will be divided into four parts, including domestic first-class media, foreign media, local media, and we-media, and then provided with the most authentic and valuable news materials based on their audience and features of propaganda.

In terms of professional visitors, Li Jianyi believed that the more professional the visitors are, the more the exhibitors will benefit, and the higher professional level and greater influence the exposition will have. And the quality of the exhibits will determine the arrival of professional visitors. The exhibitors of this year will feature the Global 500, industry leaders and unicorn companies.
