30 years on: International fast food epitomizes mix of cultures
Three decades have passed since the American fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken, more commonly known by its initials KFC, set up its first Chinese outlet in Beijing in the late 1980s. While KFC comes to China, Noodles with Thick Gravy is taking root in Moscow, and Peking Roast Duck is gaining popularity around the world. It is such intercommunications and integration that build bridges connecting people from different cultures.
