‘I wanted to personify the giant panda with a charmingly naive appearance and combine that image with Chengdu old teahouse. Chengdu old teahouse is a prominent regional characteristic. By integrating the image of giant panda in it, I hope that the audience can not only feel the texture of giant panda via the special painting techniques used, but also enjoy an immersive experience of the rich culture of Chengdu,’ Que yuan, a sophomore at Sichuan Normal University, said, elaborating on his work ‘Old teahouse -- Zen in Chengdu’.
