In the first half of the year (H1), the added value of high-tech industries above designated size in Hubei Province totaled 509.875 billion yuan, up 6.2 percent year on year, local authorities said on August 4, 2023.
During the period, there were 8,170 high-tech enterprises registered in the province, an increase of 46.4 percent year on year, and 1,531 of which passed review, seeing a 56.1-percent growth.
The turnover of technical contracts expanded 20.02 percent to 191.986 billion yuan year on year. The industries above designated size from the 12 national high-tech zones in the province generated total output value of 1,115.763 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.27 percent.
From January to June, Hubei accelerated the construction of an array of sci-tech innovation centers with national influence in Wuhan. Up to now, 102 projects have started construction, marking a rate of 76.1 percent.
