Wuhan, Hubei’s capital city, has seen 315China-Europe freight train tripsin the first quarter of this year, hitting a record high with a year-on-year increase of 202.88 percent.


A total of 25,968 TEU containers were transported via the freight train service during the same period, up 202.80 percent.


Since the beginning of this year, China-Europe freight train (Wuhan) has launchedthree new routes ofSoligorsk(Belarus) -Wuhan, Europe- Wuhan-Hong Kong and Wuhan-Ruzino(Belarus).


The freight train service now has 44 stable cross-border transport routes to link Wuhan with109 cities in 40 countriesacross Eurasia. On the basis of stable transport of machinery and equipment, auto parts, household appliances, clothing and other traditional goods, the freight trains had also carried fertilizer, granite, wheat bran granules, soybeans, flaxseed and other new categories of goods in the first quarter of this year.
