On March 29, the China (Hubei) - U.S. economic and trade cooperation conference, jointly organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Hubei Provincial People’s Government, CCPIT HubeiSub-Counciland the U.S. Consulate General in Wuhan, was held in Wuhan, Hubei’s capital city.
Speaking at the conference, the Commercial Counselor of the U.S. Embassy in China welcomed investors from all over the world, especially from China, and said thatthis conference will promote economic and trade cooperation between the U.S.and Hubei through information sharing and face-to-face communication.
According to the Foreign Affairs Office of Hubei Provincial People’s Government, the U.S. has always been an important economic and trade partner of Hubei. Thetrade value between the two sides reached67.4 billion yuanin 2022. A large number ofU.S. enterprises, such as Corning, Cummins and Honeywell, invested in the provinceregardless of epidemicimpact, which made them deeply integrated into its development, andhave been richly rewarded. Withadjustment of the epidemic policy, Hubei has picked up paceto connect with the outside world and opened arms to welcome friends from all over the world.
The CCPIT HubeiSub-Council and the associations of different U.S. states in China signed cooperation agreementson the site, in a bid to build platforms for cooperation between enterprises from Hubei and the U.S..
