The award ceremony of the China BDS Applications Forum was held in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province.
The China BDS Applications Forum and the 9th China GNSS&LBS Annual Conference, with the theme of“promote BDS applications, prosper new industry”, were inaugurated on Wednesday in Optics Valley of Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province.
The forum is the most authoritative event in the field of China’s BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, which was held in Wuhan for the first time.
Ten projects were signed up on site, involving Beidou's applications in space information, optoelectronics, new energy, and the Internet.
China's satellite navigation industry sees rapid development. In 2019, China's satellite navigation and location services industry achieved a total output value of 345 billion yuan,said Yu Xiancheng, chairman of the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association.
The Optics Valley boasts one of the earliest Beidou industrial bases in China. As of now, it has established a Beidou industrial cluster with more than 500 enterprises. And the total revenue of key enterprises in 2019 amounted to 31 billion yuan, reaching an annual growth rate of 15 percent.（en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
