Shuangliu Yangtze River Bridge, the 12th bridge spanning over the Yangtze River in Wuhan, will start construction in October as planned, with a construction period of 4 years, it is expected to open to traffic in November 2024, the Wuhan Municipal Transportation Bureau said on September 13.

The bridge is located in the east of Wuhan, connecting the city’s Xinzhou District in north and Ezhou City’s Huarong District in south. With a main span of 1,360 meters, it is designed at a speed of 120 km/h on two-way eight lanes

At present, there are 10 bridges over the Yangtze River opened to traffic in Wuhan and the 11th is expected to open to traffic at the end of this year. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
