On August 21, Wuhan Tianhe International Airport saw its passenger traffic reaching 60,200, recovering to 80 percent of the last year’s same period.

This is the first time that passenger traffic at the airport has crossed 60,000 mark since commercial flights resumed on April 8.

At the end of July, the passenger volume of domestic flights has come back to nearly 75 percent of what it was in the same period last year, with 400-plus flights taking off or landing at the airport.

As of now, the airport has reopened 73 destinations, accounting for 90 percent of its total routes, while the resumption of regular flights to South Korea, Japan and South Asian countries is processing smoothly.(en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
