A responsible major country
A responsible major country means that as a country is getting stronger, it should take an active part in participating global governance and make a significant contribution to the prosperity and stability of the world.
According to the Report on the Work of the Government, Premier Li Keqiang has pointed out that over the past five years, China has successfully hosted various diplomatic events at home like the first Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and attended major events including United Nations summits, playing a constructive role in addressing international and regional hotspot issues.
In addition, Premier Li has also pointed out that China’s development is closely connected with that of all other countries; we share a common future and a common stake in that future. Thus, China will continue to play its part as a responsible major country in resolving international and regional hotspot issues. China stands ready to work with all other countries to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
