The Novel Coronavirus has much in common with seasonal flu. They are both viral infections, share similar symptoms and crucially can spread from human to human. Coronaviruses are a broad family of viruses, but only six are known to infect people. Now the new one, Novel Coronavirus, would make it seven.Novel Coronavirus, as it’s been labeled, is understood to be a new strain of coronavirus that has not previously been identified in humans. Signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.
As the epidemic spread, Chinese President Xi Jinping called multiple meetings, heard reports and made important instructions on the prevention and control work. Xi ordered resolute efforts to curb the spread, stressing people's lives and health as the top priority.
Various measures are taken across China to combat the Novel Coronavirus.Countries around the world have also offered assistance to China’s fight against the epidemic in various ways.
