A Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation

Xi Jinping advocates a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation. He pointed out, at the Central Conference on Ethnic Affairs in September 2014, that to consolidate the unity of the Chinese nation, an effective long-term approach is to foster shared cultural identity and cultural belonging, and create a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.
Xi reiterated this view in his report to the 19th National Congress of the CPC and called for more exchanges and interactions among different ethnic groups so that they will unite closely and work together for common prosperity and development.
The Chinese nation is a community of shared past and shared future. The ethnic groups that make up the Chinese nation can look forward to bright prospects only when they integrate their future with that of the whole nation.
