站在棉花的畫作前，撲面而來的色彩氣勢壓倒一切，那些躍動的色彩能讓你感覺到藝術家揮動筆觸時的激情，看她的作品，會讓人下意識的想到梵谷：奔放的筆觸，豐富飽滿的情感，印象派斑斕的色彩、顛覆前人的構圖、以及無窮的意境暇想。可以這麼説，棉花的作品既有女性畫家特有溫柔靈性的揮灑，又不乏作為一個藝術家狂風暴雨般的靈感宣泄，吸引了滬上眾多藝術愛好者、收藏家的目光。
在文壇多年的棉花進入畫壇的時間並不長，但是在短短的時間內，就在藝術的領域裏煥發出令人驚艷的光芒：一連串的成功，令本次畫展尤其值得期待，正如滬上知名藝術評論家林明傑所説，“看厭了訓練有素卻沒有個性的畫，看到棉花的畫，就好像和沒有城府的孩子在交心。絢爛的色彩，野逸稚拙的筆觸，交織出火山爆發般的強烈氛圍。這畫，仿佛是遊子與離散多年的母親重逢時相擁的痛哭，仿佛是癡情女子在愛人懷抱裏的呢喃，仿佛是賣火柴的小女孩的夢境……”；而美國藝術家Grier Horner 的評價則更加一語中的：“棉花的作品裏有一種無法模倣的原始、真實、質樸的情感內涵，正是她作品中的這一特質，將我深深吸引。所謂藝術之魅，正在於此……”。棉花的畫是抽象的，但是卻不晦澀難懂，因為是內心情感的色彩呈現；她的畫是質樸的，但是卻並不失之於粗疏簡陋，因為多年的文字工作令她精於提煉與取捨；她的畫明心見性，自然風流，但是卻並不因此而浮于表面，因為這是她豐富人生經歷的凝華……
2008年，她的油畫作品被一家著名的南韓畫廊看中並達成長期合作，隨即她的作品就在第七屆KIAF南韓國際藝術博覽會上展出，得到熱烈的市場擁戴；緊接著在今年的藝博會上，她受一家法國畫廊的邀請參展，在國內首次亮相就獲得了極大的成功，得到了眾多國內外專業人士的肯定和由衷欣賞。藝博會結束後，不但有著名的經紀人找到她，同時，澳大利亞雪梨也向她伸出了橄欖枝，邀請她去進行藝術交流和展示；2010年，她還受邀于6月份再度跨出國門遠赴法國參加藝術博覽盛會。
本次展覽將持續到12月6日，共展出棉花近百幅油畫作品和一組紙上作品，同時，還有一組畫在葫蘆上的油畫，讓你領略不同的藝術之美，感受一個真實絢麗的藝術世界。
Blossom——Mianhua’s Solo Painting Exhibition

Stand in front of Mianhua’s paintings, the rushing of color overwhelm all of us, those colors make you feel the movement as an artist who waves his strokes, look at her works, can subconsciously lead people to think of Van Gogh: the bold strokes rich and full of emotion, impressionist gorgeous colors, subversion predecessors composition, as well as endless imagine. It can be said that Mianhua’s works of art with a painter of women-specific gentle spiritual sway, but also no shortage of storms as an artist as inspiration outlet in Shanghai attracted a large number of art lovers, collectors eyes.
Mianhua (literally means cotton) has had a longtime experience in the literature circle. Being in the artistic circle for a not so long time, Mianhua has produced fantastic works and has been shining in the artistic circle. A series of success in art along with the remark from Ming jie Lin, a famous art critic in Shanghai, makes this exhibition noteworthy. The remark goes like this, if you get tired of those paintings with conventional painting techniques, Mianhua’s work would make you feel that you are holding a heart-to-heart talk with a lovely kid. The splendid color along with the unique stroke created an atmosphere like the eruption of a volcano. The paintings create different imagery such as the crying of a son who has been away from home for so long time at the moment of re-gathering with his mother, the murmur of a women who has unreasoning passion for love in the arm of her dear darling and the dream of the little girl selling matches which is one of the famous characters in the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen. Grier Horner, an American critic, gives a better evaluation of Mianhua’s work which goes like this: There are some primitive, real and plain qualities in Mianhua’s painting. It is those special qualities that deeply attracted me. The so called the charm of art lies in here. Her painting is abstract but easy to understand for it’s the presentation of her inner feelings. Her painting is plain but not rough for it’s the essence of her literature experience. Her painting is natural but not superficial for it’s the result of her rich life experience.
In 2008, her paintings have been a South Korean gallery fancy, and achieved a long-term cooperation. Then her works on display at the 7th KIAF, warmly embraced by the market; followed in this year at the ShContemporary 2009, she is invited by a France gallery for exhibition, got a great success first debut in China, received many domestic and international professional recognitions and heartfelt appreciations. After ShContemporary 2009, Not only well-known agent to find her, but also Sydney, Australia offered an olive branch to her, invited her to go for cultural exchanges and display; In 2010, she was invited again to go abroad attending an Art Expo event in France.
The exhibition will last until December 6 , There are nearly one hundred pieces of oil paintings and a group of works on paper. At the same time, there is a group of paintings painted on the gourd. So that you can appreciate the beauty of art and feel a real gorgeous of the art world.
