中國當代版畫大展旨在集中展現我國當代版畫的優秀作品。在綜述中國當代版畫的現狀，並將中國當代版畫置於藝術發展史和國際當代藝術的大背景下，從時間和空間兩個向度對中國當代版畫進行了學術性和實驗性的探討。選擇視角注重具有當代性和創新性的作品，特別突出本土當代藝術的存在價值，對於當代版畫藝術的前景有極強的指向性和預見性。中國版畫家對版畫的當代性發展始終保持著積極的探索熱忱。籌辦這次學術性和實驗性並重的展覽，就是尊重近年來有關當代版畫實踐的成果和經驗，秉持原創與創新的態度，通過創作、研討和展出，以期引領中國當代版畫的發展。

The Chinese Contemporary Printmaking Exhibition aims to show the outstanding works of contemporary printmaking. Against the background of art history development and international contemporary art, we discuss Chinese Contemporary Printmaking academically and experimentally from two dimensions of time and space. This exhibition emphasises more

contemporary and innovative works, in particularly, to highlight the value of local contemporary art. These have a very strong predictive indication of the future direction of contemporary art.

Chinese print artists always maintained an active enthusiasm in exploring the development of print making. Today Art Museum respects art achievements and experience related to contemporary printing practice.We are holding this exhibition which is both academic and experimental following that principle of originality and innovation. We are organizing it with a view to leading the development of contemporary Chinese printmaking through creation, study and display.
