每一個世代的人們都有一個屬於他們時代的烏托邦。二十一世紀出現了很多新觀念及新發明，幾乎徹底改變了人類的生活模式。科技與經濟的進步似乎將我們的生活帶到了一個理想的時代。在這個革命性的年代，烏托邦于我們又是什麼？烏托邦除了象徵著理想國以外，亦被普遍解釋為一個不切實際或虛無縹緲的目標。 到底我們身處的是一個理想世界還是一個幻象呢？
“Everyone has their own Utopia…”
A myriad of new concepts and inventions emerging in the 21st century are changing the entire human life mode. Technological and economic breakthroughs seem to have led us and our lifestyle into an idealistic era. In today’s revolutionary times, what does Utopia mean? Utopia, apart from being an emblem of idealistic realms, is also commonly interpreted as an unrealistic and purely imaginary goal. Then, where we currently are, is it an idealistic world or just an illusion?

「置身度內」是蔣靜華的第一次個人藝術創作展，透過一系列由身體各部份而命名的錄影作品，她要將自己「解剖」，以求得自我的內在意義。在這過程中，她發現自己無法置身度外，周圍環境所發生的一事一物，都在影響著被「解剖」後那敏感細膩的她，而藝術的角色，在為她打通著一道可溝通的橋梁，由內而外，試圖將那無以名狀的感覺，透過視覺與聽覺的刺激細細表現出來。
這就成為了今天的「置身度內」。
“D’Après Corps” (According to Body) is Catherine’s first solo art exhibition. Through a series of video work titled according to separate parts of the body, she wants to have herself “anatomized”, in order to look for the meaning from within. During this process, she realizes that she cannot possibly separate her “Self” from the surroundings. Everything that evolves around her has made its way into her. The sensitivity that was released through the “anatomized” process is now leading her towards a bridge of artistic meanings, so that indescribable feelings can be conveyed through the sights and the hearing.
So it is, “D’Après Corps”.

New Art People Project
The project is to encourage young local artists to expose their works in public. There are no limitations in the media, so that more creative experiences will be achieved. The Old Ladies’ House Art Space will provide a free exhibition hall, creative support and propaganda, etc, to introduce local creation.
