紅門畫廊即將於2009年7月4日在東便門角樓舉行名為《中國形式》的聯展。本次聯展將對今日中國藝術中的形式主義風格進行探索。

“中國的藝術家以一種與西方藝術家迥異的方法來探索形式主義風格，”紅門畫廊藝術總監裴大利表示，“這種現象在抽象藝術作品中表現得尤為顯著。本次聯展將從藝術家的不同角度來描繪形式主義風格在不同藝術家眼中各具特色的定義。

本次聯展的參展藝術家包括蔣巍濤、韓情、李剛、史鐘穎、譚平、周吉榮和周軍。參展藝術家所使用的材料及畫風的多樣性將給予聯展主題以全景化的詮釋。

畫廊將於2009年7月4日下午3點至5點在東便門角樓舉行本次聯展的開幕招待會。本次展覽將持續至7月26日。

RED GATE FORMALISM SHOW SET FOR JULY

BEIJING June 19, 2009 – Red Gate Gallery will open the group show, CHINAFORM, on July 4, 2009 at the Dongbianmen Watchtower location. The show will explore the directions of formalism in today’s Chinese art.

“Chinese artists approach formalism very differently from Western artists,” Director Tally Beck comments, “and we see this evidenced strongly in abstraction, for example. This show will illustrate different conceptualizations of formalism from the artists’ perspective.

The participating artists include Jiang Weitao, Han Qing, Li Gang, Shi Zhongying, Tan Ping, Zhou Jirong and Zhou Jun. The diversity of media and styles of these artists will afford a panoramic exploration of the theme.

There will be an opening reception of the show on Saturday, July 4, 2009 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Watchtower. The show will run through July 26.
